Brain Memo terms of use

Effective date: November 2, 2026

These terms apply when you use Brain Memo, the voice notes app for iPhone and Android, including Brain Memo Pro. By downloading or using the app you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

The app runs on your device

Recording, transcription, summaries, translation, search and AI chat all run on your phone. The developer receives none of your recordings, transcripts or summaries, and the app has no accounts. Your recordings are yours: we claim no rights to them. How the app handles your data is set out in the privacy policy.

Because nothing is stored on our side, we can't recover anything for you. If you delete the app or lose or reset your device, its recordings are gone unless you exported them first, so keep copies of anything important.

Free and Pro

Brain Memo is free to use with up to 300 minutes of transcription a month. Brain Memo Pro unlocks more, as described in the app before you buy. It comes in three plans:

  • Pro Monthly: a subscription billed every month.
  • Pro Yearly: a subscription billed every year.
  • Pro Lifetime: a one-time purchase. It isn't a subscription, so it never renews and you're never charged for it again.

Prices are shown in the app and on the App Store or Google Play before you buy, and can differ between countries.

Payment and renewal

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account (iPhone and iPad) or your Google Play account (Android) when you confirm the purchase.
  • Pro Monthly and Pro Yearly renew automatically for the same length and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • If the price of a subscription changes, Apple or Google will tell you before the change applies to you.

Free trial

  • Pro Monthly and Pro Yearly start with a 3-day free trial if you're eligible. Apple or Google decides eligibility, usually one trial per account.
  • When the trial ends, the subscription starts and you're charged, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
  • If you buy a subscription during your free trial, the unused part of the trial ends when you buy.
  • Buying Pro Lifetime doesn't cancel a trial or subscription you already have. Cancel it in your store settings so you aren't charged for it.

Managing and cancelling

  • iPhone and iPad: open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Brain Memo. Or in the App Store, tap your profile picture, then Subscriptions.
  • Android: open the Google Play app, tap your profile picture, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions, then Brain Memo.
  • Deleting the app doesn't cancel a subscription.
  • After you cancel, Pro stays on until the end of the period you've paid for.

Pro belongs to your Apple ID or Google account. On a new device signed in to the same account, use Restore purchases in the app to get it back. Purchases can't be moved between Apple and Google.

Refunds

Apple and Google handle all payments and refunds under their own policies. The developer can't see your payment details or issue refunds. To ask for a refund, use Apple's Report a Problem or Google Play's refund page.

Using Brain Memo responsibly

  • Get the consent of the people you record, and follow the recording laws where you are. In many places it's illegal to record a conversation without everyone's agreement.
  • Don't use the app to break the law or to harm or harass anyone.
  • Don't copy, resell or modify the app, or try to get around its purchases or limits.

Transcripts, summaries, translations and AI chat answers are made automatically and can be wrong. Check anything important before you rely on it. They are not legal, medical, financial or other professional advice.

Apple and Google

If you got Brain Memo from the App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies, and where it conflicts with these terms, it wins. Apple isn't a party to these terms and isn't responsible for the app or its support. If you got Brain Memo from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply to your purchases.

No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't promise that it will be free of errors, that transcripts or other results will be accurate, or that your data won't be lost.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, the developer isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, recordings, profits or business, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for Brain Memo Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights that the law doesn't allow to be limited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app changes. We'll post the new version on this page and change the date at the top. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the courts of Saudi Arabia have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. This doesn't take away any consumer protections you have under the laws of the country where you live.
